These 7 bedtime struggles are more common than you think — and yes, there are ways to help! 🙏🏻

Seeing your baby roll onto their tummy at night can be terrifying the first time. And I just went through it myself few weeks ago with my second baby…

But actually there is nothing to worry if:
you put your baby to sleep on their back and they roll over by themselves, it’s considered safe — as long as the sleep setup is safe.

No swaddle once rolling starts.
No pillows, blankets or bumpers.
Just a firm mattress and an empty crib.

Your baby isn’t silently suffocating.
And you don’t need to stay awake watching the monitor all night.

In the first 2 months, babies don’t have a schedule or even a clear sense of day and night.
The key is to focus on awake windows and your baby’s signs of tiredness. Watch the video and save the awake windows chart. If you have any questions - please feel free to drop them here in comments 🙏🏻

Newborn sleep can feel overwhelming – but a few dos and don’ts can make it easier:

✨ Put baby to bed when showing tiredness signs, not when already crying

✨ Follow awake windows instead of a strict schedule

✨ Let naps be short or long – both are normal

✨ Contact naps are perfectly fine – just keep them safe

✨ Night feeds are needed, but not every wake-up is hunger

✨ Independent sleep takes time – no need to rush or stress

Every baby is different, and what works for one may look different for another 💛

Let’s weigh the pros and cons of co-sleeping first🤔

✅ The pros:
- night feedings and comforting moments are easier when your baby is just an arm’s length away
- little ones often feel safer when nestled close.

⚠️ The risks:
- without proper precautions, the risk of SIDS increases significantly
- Babies become used to the presence of mama, making independent sleep a future challenge
- co-sleeping dynamics can disrupt couple time, with dads often finding a separate bed, and moms adjusting bedtime routines.

If co-sleeping is your only option, please minimize risks with these tips:
- Only one adult in bed, well-rested, and free of alcohol or drugs
- Remove extra items like pillows and blankets from the bed
- Baby is to be put to sleep on their back, consider swaddling or using a sleeping bag and offer a pacifier.
