Portraits of the last case📸

“I want a new smile for my 85 birthday but please don’t shave my teeth down“ This was the wish of my 84 year old women.

She was happy with here ceramic crowns, but wanted her natural teeth to be matched to the ceramic crowns.

I decided to restore the teeth with direct layered composite veneers.
The upper jaw was simple in comparison to the lower jaw. For the lower theeth I had to redo the width ratio. Of course I had to be a little bit more invasive as usually, but at least less invasive than a crown.

Lower jaw🔥

👉Another level! My imagination was challenged to straighten the teeth in the lower jaw only with composite.

Unlike my usual non-invasive approach, I had to grind the teeth a bit in this case. However, still less than with conventional crown preparation.

After absolute Isolation and sandblasting I used a lot of matrix - ( ) techniques I learned over time.

At the end I had to sculpture with my burrs the right anatomy before finishing and polishing .

Case presentation
🫳Today the upper jaw.

“I want a new smile for my 85 birthday but please don’t shave my teeth down“ This was the wish of my 84 year old women.

After absolute isolation I used the matrix “Unica Anterior” from to reconture the gum.
In this case I could treat all 4 teeth at the same time.

☝️TIP for color selection👉 To match the ceramic I always use a more opaque dentin shade and less enamel.

I started with a palatinat build up to increase the VDO and restore the lost tooth substance and lengthening of the incisal edge.
