A patient comes to the clinic co.plaining of severe pain.
While taking history from the patient, i learned that a few nights before, he had food stuck between the teeth and tried to remove it with a toothpick.
Upon clinical examination, the gum appeared irritated, inflammed, and bleeding.
While cleaning the gum, i found a piece of a broken toothpick wedged deep in the gum, and it had caused the formation of a gingival pocket.
Cleaning with wooden toothpicks is not the best option for your teeth. There are much better alternatives such as floss, water floss, interdental brush, and rubber toothpicks.
Keep your teeth and gums healthy and happy by choosing the right tools and the correct method of cleaning .

This is a case of a male in his 30s with a chronic condition of bruxism. The patient had lost his OVD, and the teeth palataly had attrition up to the gum level.
This case took almost a month to complete, but in the end, we were able to return OVD to normal and give the patient confidence in his smile.

This is a case of a 13 year old who came to the clinic with a severe form of gingivitis. The first picture was taken on the day of the visit, and the second was taken a week after . We treated the case with scaling, CHX mouthwash, and a gel that contained both CHX and halyuronic acid. The patient was also advised to take vitamin c daily.

There is a reason why we recommend getting a check-up and cleaning done every six months.

Calculus builds up on our teeth even if we clean our teeth diligently, and if you smoke or drink coffee or tea frequently, stains form on the teeth, and they can be mistaken for caries.

Make sure to visit your dentist every 6 months for a check-up and cleaning.
