Their broader applications, including the correction of myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, and presbyopia, are now less frequently discussed. By reshaping the cornea overnight, ortho-k provides clear daytime vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses. Paul Gifford provides an overview of ortho-k’s evolution, benefits beyond myopia control, and its effectiveness, safety, and clinical relevance for both children and adults. Asif Iqbal and Steve Vincent review a study on how overnight ortho-k influences corneal tissue thickness in adult myopes.
