In today's age of social media approved dentistry, I want to reclaim my space as an imperfectly good dentist!
The one that cares too deeply, the one who caters to their patients needs on their own expense and the one that takes 10 minutes longer to counsel their patients.
For me , dentistry has always been the dressing to my wounded creative soul.
In my years of practice , I've been guilty for not abiding by the rules, throwing in free treatments to satisfy my own need for perfection, because not every patient can afford a porcelain capped smile, but deserve a healthy one.
I may not have a portfolio of stunning smiles, but I have fixed many real ones, worked around their budgets and have them leave my office smiling and satisfied healing a part of me each time and giving me the courage to face one challenge after the other.
During my initial years I tried to find loopholes and shortcuts to success only to be extremely disappointed, losing faith in what I do, but perseverance conquered and more then a decade later, I can say this is what I'll be doing for life, accepting my space as an imperfectly good dentist!
