Prof. Dr. Dr. Bilal Al-Nawas, Head Oral & Maxillofacial Department, University of Mainz, Germany, presents to you the ITI Implant Privilege Program which will start in Dubai on 3 November 2020
The health authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) require that only appropriately qualified, trained and skilled dentists practice implant dentistry, and that patients receiving dental implant therapy and treatment are assured of quality and safe Implantology services. Therefore, dentists licensed to practice in the UAE are required to attend a multi-modular structured program of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and place a certain number of dental implants in patients under supervision within a maximum time frame.
The ITI Implant Privilege is a modular course with both theory and mentored clinical elements, which has the support of the International Team of Implantology ITI. The speakers are international, regional and local, all of which are ITI fellows or members. The course is structured and provides evidence and scientific background to Implantology. After conclusion of the course, participants will be able to apply for the exam conducted by the applicable UAE health authorities which will grant the Implantology Privilege after successful passing.
The ITI Implant Privilege in Dubai is one of the few programs where participants will receive 30 implants and related materials, 16 clinical days where they can place the required implants in patients under supervision, which are all included in the price. Most of the other implant privilege programs only provide 15-20 implants and 8-12 clinical days which is not enough to fulfill the criteria for the implant privilege in the UAE. In these programs, additional implants and clinical days have to be purchased at extra costs – in our program it is all included!
