Sometimes, the biggest challenge in a child’s dental treatment is not the procedure itself… it’s helping them feel safe enough to go through it. 🦷🤍
Dental fear or anxiety can make it difficult for some children to sit through necessary treatment. When treatment cannot be delayed, general anesthesia can sometimes help complete the required procedures safely in a planned session.
In this case, all four first permanent molars were affected by hypoplasia, making them more prone to breakdown. The teeth were treated with the required pulp therapy or fillings, followed by stainless steel crowns to provide full coverage protection.
As a pediatric dentist, my priority is always choosing an approach that supports both the child’s dental needs and emotional comfort. 🤍
If your child needs dental treatment but fear is making it difficult for them to cooperate, drop your queries or DM me. I’d be happy to guide you through the options.
