🧡 💚 What if nighttime bracing changed everything?💚🧡
During Scoliosis Awareness Month, we want to amplify the voices that truly understand this journey — and it's one every brace patient and scoliosis parent needs to read.

After being prescribed 23.5 hours of daily bracing by her first doctor, Samantha's family sought a second opinion. Her new doctor was shocked by the original recommendation and cleared her to wear her brace just 16 hours a day — meaning she could choose to wear it only at night, keeping her diagnosis completely private at school.

For three years, Samantha wore her brace exclusively while she slept. It never disrupted her sleep. It never held her back.

Her piece is a candid reflection on what it feels like to be a child navigating a new diagnosis, the emotional weight of bracing, and ultimately finding self-acceptance. Yes. It exists. It's called nocturnal bracing. And research shows it can be just as effective as full-time bracing — without stealing your days. Without making you the kid in the brace. Without forcing you to choose between your health and your life.
