Excision of a lesion on the left buccal mucosa✨
In this procedure, a small area of tissue from the inner cheek is carefully removed and separated from the underlying structures by Dr. Ducharme. This allows for precise excision while preserving the surrounding healthy issue.
The specimen is then sent for pathology evaluation to determine a definitive diagnosis.
Biopsies like this, play a critical role in identifying abnormal tissue early and guiding appropriate treatment when necessary.
If you notice any persistent changes in your oral tissue, such as white or red patches, lumps, or non-healing areas, it’s important to have them evaluated by a specialist.✨
