"You just don't have that confidence to be yourself if the smile, if the teeth aren't there."

He's a car salesman. He works face to face with people every single day, so he knew exactly what his teeth were costing him.

He also knew what he had to be thankful for: his health, his kids, and now, a smile that matches.

If your work depends on your face, don't wait on this. Book a consultation.

The question that lands in our DMs more than any other: how long do implants last?

Dr. Abron's answer: they're built to last a very long time. Care for them like your natural teeth and they're meant to go the distance. Current projections he cites put roughly 94 to 96 percent of dental implants lasting 30 years or more.

Brush. Floss. Keep your cleanings. That's the deal.

Save this for the next time someone tells you implants are temporary.

He said "I trust my team." Then he sat in the chair and let them throw toilet paper at his head.

Every person at DC Perio & Implants took a turn. Most missed. A couple did not.

Same crew that's in the room for every implant, gum treatment and full-arch case in DC. Steady hands, questionable mercy.

Save this for the next time someone tells you a dental office can't have fun.

"I had no idea this was a possibility. I thought I had to get regular dentures — and I was only 35."

Here's what most people don't know: many patients told they can't have dental implants actually can. Bone, anatomy, and candidacy get answered in one visit with 3D scans, not by guessing.

Full-arch implants at DC Perio & Implants in Washington, DC: 4 to 6 implants and a fixed set of teeth, placed in one pre-planned visit by periodontist Dr. Armin Abron. His patients' most common regret? Not starting sooner.

Do dental implants hurt? It's the number one fear we hear.

Dr. Porzio's honest answer surprises most people: across the board, patients are shocked by how little discomfort they feel. Most walk in remembering how their extraction felt — and walk out saying the implant was easier.

If fear has kept you away from replacing a missing tooth, start with a conversation at our Farragut Square or Eastern Market office. No drills, no pressure.

"Maria, the office manager, was exceptionally knowledgeable. De'Jah at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. Dr. Abron also made me feel very comfortable during my visit."

Great care starts before you ever sit in the chair. Thank you, Kasan, for the five stars and for shouting out Maria and De'Jah by name.

"I have no pictures of me prior to the smile. For that reason."

As a teenager, a young woman, and even into her 50s, she trained herself to cover her mouth. She watched people's eyes constantly, because the second they dropped to her teeth, she knew they'd noticed.

Decades of protecting herself from her own smile.

If that's you right now, you don't have to keep managing it. There's a fix. Come ask about it.

How many implants does a full arch really need? Four is the minimum you'll hear about — but Dr. Abron thinks longer term. Implants have a 94–96% success rate based on 35-year studies, but when a patient's anatomy allows it, he prefers six, seven, even eight per arch depending on bone available and biting forces. Why? Built-in insurance for the decades ahead. It's the difference between planning for today and planning for the rest of your life.

We put Dr. Abron's movie knowledge to the test with some Back to the Future trivia during his appearance on the All In Practice Growth Podcast — and he came in hot at 88 miles per hour. 🚗⚡ Turns out our board-certified periodontist knows his DeLoreans almost as well as his dental implants. Full episode coming soon — where Dr. Abron talks implant dentistry, full-arch cases, and what 15+ years of periodontics in Washington DC has taught him.

He watched his pastor's dentures come loose mid-sermon. The pastor ducked behind the pulpit, shoved them back in, and kept preaching.

"That was really embarrassing. I'm sure for him."

It stuck with him. Loose teeth at dinner, food coming through the gaps, trying to talk and eat at the same time.

His review of fixed implants: "I can really bite into a steak now."

That's the difference between teeth that sit in your mouth and teeth that are anchored in it.
