Courage, Hope & Love for Reese

Courage, Hope & Love for Reese This page is to be used by friends and family to post pictures and words of encouragement to Reese and her family. To know Reese is to love her.

Recently Reese underwent oral surgery to remove a growth in her mouth. On March 18th, the pathology results confirmed that Reese has Ewings Sarcoma. This is a rare but aggressive childhood cancer. Reese will need to undergo 10 months of treatment including chemotherapy and possibly radiation. She is truly beautiful inside and out with an infectious smile and incredibly strong spirit! Many of you k

now that Reese recently celebrated her 13th birthday. A huge milestone for her whole life she has ahead of her. She is your typical teenager, addicted to her iPod and Matt Espinosa. Reese is being extremely strong and positive since she has been diagnosed. In her words, she is going to beat this and become a better person because of it. Let’s all help her maintain her high spirit throughout the duration of her fight. Please post pictures and words of encouragement and love to both her and her family. Together we will all help them get through the long and tough battle that lies ahead.

There are not enough thank you’s and gratitude to give to everyone. Yesterday was an extremely powerful and emotional day for us. Thank you to the administration, Principal Duca, Kate, and the entire graduating class of 2019 from Ballston spa high school. Thank you for honoring Reese and The everlasting senior gift of the artwork that will hang in the school forever. Thank you to all of the family and friends that came out. Thank you for the roaring ovation and love. I couldn’t have asked for anything better to honor Reese . We are both emotionally and physically drained from yesterday. The acknowledgment at the beginning of commencement was beautiful and we are so grateful. We will continue with the Reese Johnson scholarship at Ballston spa high school every year. 🙏🏻❤️

Reese wrote me this letter for my birthday one month before she left. Tonight my tattoo artist put it on me in her hand writing. Her words of love are on me for life. Not gonna lie, it hurt. But every ounce of pain was worth it and for Reese.

Today was the Make A Wish Walk for Wishes and we all killed it. We surpassed our fundraising goal and the sun came out. It was such an amazing day and I am so blessed and thankful for our Reese's Warriors team! I can't wait to do it again next year! Thank you to everyone who came out to walk with us and everyone who supported and or donated to this amazing cause!

Hi guys! So.... not a whole lot to share. I'm back working in the medical field and I'm so busy with work, I love it! The weather in NY hasn't been the greatest, I don't think NY got the memo that it is summer and it should be sunny and at least 85 every day instead of rain and maybe 80 if we are lucky( we actually had 2 days this week that didn't even hit 65!!) But on a good note, my friends and family are are walking in the Make A Wish walk for wishes on August 12th. If there is anyone local who would like to join us, our team is Reese's Warriors. If you aren't local but would like to make a donation, I am pasting the link to our page. Would love to see everyone for a great cause! I hope you all are enjoying a nice warm summer even if we aren't, lol❣️http://site.wish.org/goto/ReesesWarriors

2017 Walk For Wishes - Troy, NY

Life continues to come and go, but it will always be empty for us. I hate the month of May. Having to be strong and put on a face for my mom when I'd rather just ignore the day all together. Then of course 5/28 transplant day. The day that was supposed to save her life but ultimately ended up taking it. This constant rain doesn't help anyone's depression either. I quit my job that I left panera for. It was a nightmare. I've never had worse bosses. I literally sat a desk for 8 hours more often than not with nothing to do. That wasn't good for my depression either. I wasn't allowed time off to see my grief counselor so I sat there for 2 months completely miserable. I didn't even give 2 weeks which I've never done before. I just couldn't stand it another minute and decided they didn't deserve the courtesy with how they spoke down to me.
So now I am unemployed, looking for work again. I've had a few good interviews and I'm sure something will happen hopefully sooner rather than later.

I received an incredible message this morning from an incredibly beautiful person. Kacey came home yesterday after having a not so great day to an incredible surprise. This beautiful little kitten was a gift from her best friend. After careful thought she decided to name the cat Reese!!! On so many levels and in so many ways this just hit me so deep! Reese had an amazing bond with Kacey as they both went through treatment at the same time. As you all know she had an incredible unmatched love for cats. It's a little ironic that this cat named Reese looks like Dakota. I hope this kitty brings you smiles and joy Kacey!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for honoring our baby girl and your friend! I hope we can meet the cat soon! Keep that smile bright! ❤️ such a beautiful kitten 🐱
