It's been a while since I posted a case. I've been busy getting my new office set up. I wanted to show this case because the way it was completed and the results are amazing!
In the past when a patient needed an immediate denture, they need to have horrible gagging impressions done that had to go to the back of their throat. It can be traumatizing. My patient came in and had a comfortable 3D scan of his mouth. He came back in a week and had all his upper teeth removed, and a same day denture was placed at the time of his surgery. I also crowned his worn down bottom front 4 teeth.
Ordinary techniques often result in crooked or misaligned teeth that don't look good and don't bite properly. This was an extreme change of his bite, and it turned out perfectly. This patient had TMJ issues for years because of his under bite. After realigning his jaw to the proper height , he reports much less pain. I expect this to get better with time.
