Small charges can quietly become big profit leaks.

That $125 Starbucks reload feels easy in the app.

Practice subscriptions work the same way.

One software fee here.

One add-on there.

One “we forgot we were paying for that” subscription every month.

None of it feels huge until you look at the total.

That is why monthly financial controls matter.

Review the auto-drafts.

Check the subscriptions.

Ask what the team actually uses.

Cancel what is not creating value.

Profit is not only protected by producing more. It is protected by watching what quietly leaves the account.

What subscription or recurring charge should your practice review this month?

We are still buzzing from the energy of this room!

Two days spent with the best community of Doctors and Office Managers that we are lucky enough to call our clients 💙

There are no words to describe how thankful we are to all of you for your minds always ready to learn and grow, and your hearts always open and willing to help a fellow doctor out.

YOU make these events special. YOU make Dental A Team what it is- a place that’s more than a consulting company- a community where no Doctor feels like they’re on their own 💙

September 11 reminds us that life is fragile, love is powerful, and we are stronger when we stand together.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

The practices moving fastest are not always adding more tools.

They are connecting the right ones.

Dr. Rania shared how AI and cloud software have become a real tipping point in dentistry.

Not long ago, many practices said, “Why change? Dentrix plus six add-ons works fine.”

Now, teams are moving from paper charts and disconnected systems straight into AI-supported workflows.

That matters.

Because better systems can mean cleaner handoffs, easier access to information, stronger patient communication, and less time lost inside clunky processes.

Technology is not about disruption for the sake of disruption.

It is about building a practice that can move faster, serve patients better, and support the team with tools that actually work together.

Your best marketing may already be sitting in your chairs. 👀

Before a patient ever calls your office, there’s a good chance they’ve already Googled you. And what they find can influence whether they choose your practice or keep scrolling.

In this listener-favorite episode, Kiera sits down with Danny from Swell to break down how dental practices can:

✨ Get more consistent Google reviews
✨ Ask for better, more descriptive feedback
✨ Use keywords strategically in review responses
✨ Turn negative feedback into an opportunity to improve
✨ Build an online reputation that actually reflects the patient experience you deliver

The biggest takeaway? Five-star reviews start with a five-star practice.

If your team is delivering an incredible experience, make sure your online presence tells the same story.

If patients hear “just a cleaning,” they’ll value it like one.

That is where the perio gap starts.

Hygiene is not filler on the schedule.

Your hygienists are oral therapists. They are often the first line in helping patients connect oral health to whole-body health.

When the language feels too casual, diagnosis feels less urgent.

Case acceptance gets harder.

Follow-up becomes easier to skip.

But when the team frames perio care with education, value, and genuine concern, patients hear something different.

They understand why it matters.

They value the service.

They are more likely to follow through.

The system starts with how the team talks about care.

Where does your perio system break down most: diagnosis, case acceptance, or follow-up?

MEET TIFF 🤍

For more than nine years, Tiff has been a crucial part of our team. And when we asked her what she loves most about her work, her answer really says a lot about who she is.

She doesn’t just care about helping our clients become better leaders or build better practices.

She genuinely cares about helping people create a life they love, too.

Tiff is an incredible mom and a stepmom. She can host a Dental A Team webinar and a dinner party for her friends and family like it’s just another Tuesday! She loves traveling with her fiancé Aaron and making memories in new places. And she loves live music, especially when she gets to experience it with people she loves.

We’re so grateful she’s been part of ours for all these years. 🤍

Send this to a doctor who needs a reminder!

At some point, the question has to shift from:

“How can I get everything done?”

to:

“How do I build a practice that doesn’t need me to do everything?”

That’s the shift from doctor/owner → CEO.

Being the CEO means you’re thinking about:

Vision
People
Profitability
Systems
Culture
Leadership
The future of the practice

It doesn’t mean you never step into the clinical or operational side.

It means you stop making yourself responsible for everything.

Your highest-value job is building the people and systems that allow the practice to grow without everything landing on your desk.

Patients are already willing to invest in what matters to them.

The job is helping them connect dentistry to what they actually want.

Comfort.

Confidence.

Health.

A solution they can say yes to.

Financial conversations should not feel like pressure. They should feel like partnership.

When the treatment coordinator understands the patient’s goal and helps find a path that works, it becomes a win for the patient and the practice.

That is where trust grows.

And that is where case acceptance starts to feel human again.

How does your team make financial conversations feel easier for patients?

09/02/2026

If your practice cannot function without you, that is not growth.

That is dependence.

The next level of growth will not come from working harder.

It comes from leading differently.

Stepping into the CEO role means getting more intentional about:

Vision.

Profitability.

Team ownership.

Systems that do not need you in every decision.

You still lead the practice.

You just stop being the only reason it moves forward.

That is where growth, profit, and freedom start working together.

What is one thing your team should be able to handle without you?
