My patient needed a temporary solution for her missing tooth. She used to have a peg lateral so I made it match her other peg lateral. This is 3d printed with Rodin 3D Dental Resins and Ackuretta | Dental 3D Printing.

My patient broke her central incisor crown. One of the hardest things to do in dentistry in match a single crown with the other central incisor. Some decide to crown / veneer the other central to get the shade the same. In this case, we took high quality photos to send to the lab and get the shade right! We even had some white spot characterization added to it to match #9. Patient was happy!

A few of my favorite oral hygiene products are the ones that help patients build habits they can actually keep.

For most people, the basics still matter most: brushing well, cleaning between the teeth, and using products that support a healthier mouth between visits. I like tools like an electric toothbrush, floss that patients enjoy using, and rinse or toothpaste options that fit the patient’s risk level and routine.

One idea I talk about often is pH. When the mouth stays acidic for too long, teeth are more vulnerable to demineralization. Products that help neutralize acidity can be useful for patients who are cavity-prone, have dry mouth, snack frequently, or sip acidic drinks.

The best product is not always the most expensive one. It is the one you will use consistently and correctly.

A simple order can make your home routine work a little better:

1. Floss first to loosen plaque and food between the teeth.
2. Rinse after flossing to clear away what you loosened.
3. Brush with fluoride toothpaste for two minutes.
4. Spit out the excess toothpaste.

After brushing, try not to do a big water rinse right away. Leaving a little fluoride on the teeth gives it more time to help protect enamel.

Small habits, done consistently, make a real difference between dental visits.
