Trillium Oral Surgery & Implantology We offer oral and maxillofacial surgery services from our four experienced oral surgeons. Our practice was established by Dr. Robert Millard in 1978.

Dr. David Sturtz purchased the practice in October 1992 after Dr. Millard retired. In 1995, Dr. David Aldrich joined the practice and we purchased the Ann Arbor office. Dr. Norman Betts came aboard in 2002, Dr. Jeffrey Wasielewski in 2006. Dr. Betts and Dr. Wasielewski continue to offer comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery to Plymouth area residents and have grown to become the leading ora

Post-operative care is where recovery is won or lost - and two of the most important instructions are also the most commonly overlooked.

Keeping your head elevated in the days following surgery isn't just about comfort. It actively reduces swelling by limiting blood flow to the surgical site, giving your body the conditions it needs to heal efficiently. Even while sleeping, elevation makes a meaningful difference.

The restriction on straws is equally important, and the reason is worth understanding. The suction created by a straw - even a gentle one - is enough to dislodge the blood clot that forms at the extraction site. That clot is not a minor detail. It is the foundation of your healing.
