**Medicaid Update (EXCLUDING UNITED HEALTHCARE (UHC))**

As of 08/01/2026 we will no longer be accepting new patients for our Medicaid waitlist. We have been blessed with tremendous growth since we opened 2 years ago and we no longer have the space, staff, or availability in our schedule to accommodate. This also applies to limited exams including toothaches, broken teeth, gum pain, wisdom tooth pain, infections, etc. Without this restriction, our schedule has a tendency to look like the walk in clinic from our time at the Health Department.

For our current active Medicaid patients, we will continue treating you per our Medicaid patient agreement (i.e. abiding to the same dismissal policy and age restrictions).

We will continue to work through those that are on our waitlist. Please remain patient as we have nearly 250 names on that list.

We appreciate all of our Medicaid patients that have trusted us with their oral healthcare. This is simply a matter of supply and demand. Our schedule and patient base have reached capacity for state insurance. If you have complaints or concerns, PLEASE send them to your congressmen and state representatives. Reimbursement from Medicaid remains below market and remains more political than anything (see the recent 4% reimbursement cut that was immediately reversed after the governor's office "found the necessary funds").

Drs. Tim and Andrew traded in their normal red and blue in an effort to WOW you! Thanks to Paducah Bank for dropping by and giving us the new merch and sweet treats (we did brush our teeth afterwards). It was fun giving a tour of the our completed office. Hard to believe we were touring this place together 2.5 yrs ago and seeing how much has changed. One thing stayed the same, support from our local lender.

Check out this board our staff made to educate patients on the amount of sugar in popular snacks. Anyone else rethinking their kids’ Pop Tart for breakfast? 😬

For context, the American Heart Association recommends no more than 25-30 grams of sugar for adults and children are recommended to consume less than that. Many of these items knock that out!

Remember, cavities LOVE sugar. You may be eating more of it than you think!
