When it comes to my kids’ dental routine, I care way more about consistency than perfection. 🦷

A few things are non-negotiable in our house: brushing twice a day, using fluoride once they’re old enough not to swallow it, flossing anywhere the teeth are touching, and having my husband or me do the actual brushing because little kids usually don’t have the coordination to clean thoroughly on their own.

We also try to limit constant snacking, and if they do snack, I like them to drink water afterward to help clear away food and reduce the acidic environment that can contribute to cavities.

The goal isn’t a perfect routine every single day. It’s building habits they can carry with them long-term. ✨
