Now your dentist AND your cardiologist may high-five you for flossing. 🙌

Some research shows people who flossed at least once a week had a lower risk for strokes caused by blood clots coming from the heart. They also had a lower risk for atrial fibrillation, or AFib, an irregular heart rhythm that can lead to a stroke.

Flossing can help prevent gum disease and oral infections. These are linked to inflammation, which may contribute to hardened arteries and a higher risk of stroke. The research is preliminary, but there’s really no downside to adding flossing to your healthy routine.

🗣️Dr Durgam’s journey to starting DentalEvidence.com was recently featured in Dental Entrepreneur Women. Take a look:

When I first stepped into a dental clinic as a student, holding a saliva ejector and watching senior clinicians work, I never imagined where that would lead.

Aesthetic Dental was proud to be part of the Sai Rao North Bergen Library Health Fair! Such a beautiful space equipped with 3d printers, T-shirt press and individual meeting rooms.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors, meet local families, and share information about the important connection between oral health and overall wellness. 🦷✨

We’re grateful to the Sai Rao North Bergen Library for bringing together local healthcare organizations and community members to promote healthier communities through education and connection.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet our team! We appreciate Natalie and Maria’s effort to make this a successful event!

Dyson putting a 100k-pixel macro camera and AI gap-detection into a $500 toothbrush (the CameraJet) is peak Dyson. It’s completely disruptive, totally on-brand, and chaotic in the best way.

Here’s why this move is a masterclass in positioning:
1️⃣ It redefines price-point behavior.
At $500, nobody is buying a 4-pack for the family bathroom. Dyson turned a throwaway household staple into a single, high-stakes personal tech investment. You buy one, protect it with your life, and take it with you everywhere.

2️⃣ It turns classic incumbents into "middle of the road."
Yesterday, a top-tier Sonicare or Oral-B IO felt like the pinnacle of luxury hygiene. Today? They suddenly look like overpriced analog relics. They aren't cheap enough to compete with $10 drugstore brushes, but they don't have an intraoral camera and automated jet-flossing to justify a premium price. They’re stuck in the middle.

3️⃣ The real competitor isn't in the same category.
Sonicare wasn't sitting in boardrooms worrying about Oral-B. They were blind to the real threat: an airflow and appliance company stepping into oral care and using computer vision to hijack the high-end market.
The biggest disruption to your business will rarely come from a rival brand in your aisle. It comes from a brand in a completely different industry that redefines what "premium" actually means.

We are excited about the innovation happening in the dental space. True progress demands disrupting the status quo to deliver outcomes you can actually see and measure.

A huge THANK YOU to Dr. Chithra Durgam and the wonderful team at Aesthetic Dental in North Bergen!
When we called about a foster youth who was in terrible dental pain, they rallied immediately. They saw him right away, cleaned his teeth, filled a cavity, and reassured him that his incoming wisdom teeth were healthy — all completely free of charge.
And this isn’t the first time Aesthetic Dental has stepped up for our kids. Throughout the year, their team collects and donates toothbrushes, toiletries, holiday toys, and other much-needed items for the children and youth we serve.
It means so much to know that when one of our kids needs help, we have community partners we can count on.
Dr. Durgam and the entire Aesthetic Dental team — thank you for always showing up for our foster youth with such generosity, kindness, and care. We are incredibly grateful to have you in our Bergen CASA family!
