✨Transformation Tuesday✨
Our patient RM came to us with:
🔹Overbite 80% deep
🔹Slight protrusion of upper teeth
🔹Lower left lateral incisor erupting lingually (closer to tongue) and over retained baby tooth

We treated RM in two phases! The first phase included a Rapid Palatal Expander (RPE) and braces on the upper four front teeth to expand his jaws and begin alignment, and a retainer with a bite plane to correct his deep bite in between phases as he grew.
When RM was ready for the second phase, we bonded Pitts 21 brackets and used Pitts principles and elastics to fully correct his bite and straighten his teeth. After just under a year and a half, we finished with this amazing result.

✨Transformation Tuesday✨
Our patient SN came to us with:
🔹Small lower jaw and Class II bite on the right side (back teeth not lined up properly)
🔹 Overbite 80% deep, slight protrusion of upper teeth
🔹Moderate crowding
🔹Slight jaw asymmetry to the right

We started SN’s treatment with a Herbst appliance and Rapid Palatal Expander (RPE) to bring her lower jaw forward, expand her upper jaw, and correct her overbite.
Once enough growth was reached in both jaws, we bonded Pitts 21 brackets. Using Pitts brackets and protocols, we established a healthy bite and an aesthetic result with a wide smile and beautiful smile arc!

✨Transformation Tuesday✨
Our patient BC came to us with:
🔹 Class II bite on the right side (back teeth not lined up properly)
🔹Severe crowding, upper right canine blocked out
🔹Upper midline off 2mm to the right
🔹Impacted wisdom teeth

We started BC’s treatment with a D2 appliance, to begin correcting how his back teeth bite together. After the back teeth were lined up, we removed the D2 and bonded Pitts 21 brackets! We used a special spring to make room to bring the displaced canine down into alignment, elastics to finalize his bite, and finished with an aesthetic and handsome smile that fits his face perfectly.

Getting your first set of braces on is easy as 1-2-3!!🎉
Congratulations to Asher on getting his Phase 1 braces on, and shoutout to his mom and sister for being there for moral support😉

⭐️Asher first came to see Dr. Gen when he was 6 years old, because he was grinding his teeth at night. It was too early to do anything for him orthodontically, so we sent him to an ENT who specializes in sleep and airway health!
⭐️We monitored Asher regularly so that when his teeth were ready, we could step in right away.
⭐️Asher had a narrow upper arch, spacing in the upper arch, some teeth had no room to grow in, and he was still grinding his teeth a little bit during sleep.

🦷Our goal for Phase I treatment is to widen his palate and his airway to make breathing easier and give better quality sleep, as well as to make more room for the teeth that were crowded. Expander sets the foundation, braces close the spaces, and gets everything ready for a successful Phase II (comprehensive) treatment! 🦷
