About a year ago, we opened our doors with a big vision for what pediatric dentistry could feel like. And we’re pretty proud to say that we’ve built something pretty special. 🤍

We love the way our team shows up for our sweet patients, supports each other, finds ways to make the hard moments a little easier, and brings so much heart to what we do every day.

We’re so proud of what this first year has been, and so grateful for the people who make Commonwealth Pediatric Dentistry what it is.

One year down. We’re just getting started. 🥹🦷

Sometimes “meeting kids where they are” means… literally getting down on the floor with them. 😅🤍

If that’s where a little one feels most comfortable, that’s where we’ll be. No rushing, no forcing, no “you need to sit in the chair right now.”
Just meeting them where they are, building trust, and helping them feel safe enough to take the next step when they’re ready.

That’s pediatric dentistry to us.

She’s been out and about around Kentucky with our girl, Jessie, making new friends, visiting fellow dental offices, and helping us make a few connections along the way.

How can you numb a tooth without giving a shot? This little device is part of the answer. 🦷

We spend a lot of time teaching our kids how important it is to brush and floss their teeth—but what about the things they’re putting right back over those freshly cleaned teeth? 🦷

Whether your child wears a retainer at night or grabs their mouthguard before heading to practice, keeping those appliances clean matters, too.

A few simple reminders:
🧼 Clean them regularly.
💨 Don’t leave them sitting damp and forgotten in the bottom of a backpack or gym bag.
📦 Store them safely in their protective case when they’re not being worn.
🔥 Keep them away from extreme heat, including hot cars, which can affect their shape and fit.
👀 Check regularly for cracks, damage, or changes in how they fit.

And sports parents—this is your reminder to add mouthguard care to the pre-season checklist! Just like helmets, cleats, and uniforms, your child’s mouthguard deserves a little attention before the season gets busy.

Because keeping your child’s smile healthy isn’t just about brushing the teeth. It’s also about keeping the things that protect those teeth clean, safe, and ready to do their job. 💙
