🦷 **When should your child first visit the dentist?**

Earlier than many parents think! A child’s first dental visit is recommended around their **first birthday** or when their first tooth appears.

Starting early helps prevent cavities, builds healthy habits, and helps children feel comfortable at the dentist from a young age.

🦷 **Can a child’s cavity be treated without drilling?**

In some cases, yes. **Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)** is a minimally invasive treatment that may help slow or stop certain cavities without traditional drilling.

It can be especially helpful for very young or anxious children, but it isn’t the right option for every tooth.

Learn more about SDF and when your pediatric dentist may recommend it in our latest blog.

👶 **Pacifiers and thumb sucking are normal—but when can they start affecting your child’s teeth?**
