Delighted to have been part of BOA FOCUS 2026, the prestigious annual conference of the Bombay Ophthalmologists’ Association.

It was a wonderful opportunity for Chandrashekhar Chawan to interact with prominent ophthalmologists, respected teachers, colleagues and leaders in eye care. The exchange of clinical experiences, innovative ideas and perspectives on the future of vision care made the conference truly enriching.

Being invited as Faculty and sharing my experience on “Special Effect Lenses for Special Situations” was particularly rewarding.

🌟 Honoured to Join the International Faculty — Masterclass in Oculoplasty 2026–27 🌟

I am delighted and deeply honoured to be part of the distinguished international faculty for Sinjab Academy’s Masterclass in Oculoplasty – Module 3: The Orbit, scheduled from 27 September 2026 to 27 January 2027.

It is a privilege to share this academic platform with renowned experts from Egypt, USA and across the globe, contributing to an advanced program dedicated to the clinical and surgical understanding of the orbit.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute my experience in ocular prosthetics, socket management, scleral and prosthetic lenses, and multidisciplinary eye care.

For me, education is not merely about sharing knowledge—it is about exchanging experiences, inspiring innovation and ultimately improving outcomes for our patients.

It was a privilege and a pleasure to visit NSHM Knowledge Campus as a Guest of Honour and interact with the bright, enthusiastic, and budding Optometry students.

Sharing experiences from my journey in Optometry, Vision Science, Myopia Management, Specialty Contact Lenses, and Eye Care was truly rewarding. What inspired me most was the curiosity, energy, and eagerness to learn among these future eye-care professionals.

Optometry is evolving rapidly, opening exciting opportunities in clinical practice, research, technology, specialty eye care, entrepreneurship, and academics. I encouraged the students to dream beyond conventional boundaries, embrace innovation, keep learning, and strive to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.

My heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Bishwajit Mondal and the entire faculty and team at NSHM Knowledge Campus for the warm welcome, gracious hospitality, and wonderful opportunity to connect with the next generation of Optometrists.
