☀️ Happy Last Day of School, MES Families! ☀️

​And just like that, the 2025-2026 school year is officially in the books! 🎒✨

​From the very first day of school to the final bell today, it has been an absolute joy watching our students grow, learn, and make unforgettable memories. Your PTO has been honored to work alongside this incredible community to make this year extra special.
​Looking back, we have so much to celebrate! Together, we brought some amazing events to life this year:

​🎃 Trunk or Treat: A spooktacular night of creative trunks, tons of candy, and wonderful community smiles.

​📚 "Sail Away With a Good Book" Fall Book Fair: Where we set sail on reading adventures and put fantastic books into our students' hands.

​🎄 Elf Grams: Spreading holiday cheer and putting bright smiles on faces all around the school.

​🎨 Family Paint Night: A sold-out evening of creativity where parents and students left their beautiful mark on our school's ceiling tiles.

​💃 The Spring Fling Dance: A fantastic night of dancing, laughter, and community fun that brought us all together.

​🌸 "Everything is Coming Up Books" Spring Book Fair: A beautiful, blooming success that kept our students excited about reading right into summer.

​💖 A Massive Thank You!
​None of this would have been possible without our incredible volunteers who gave their time, our dedicated teachers and staff who love and guide our kids every day, and our wonderful parents who support us every step of the way. Whether you wrapped an Elf Gram, decorated a trunk, or cheered our students on, you made a difference. Thank you for partnering with us!

​As we close out the year, we want to share some special farewells:

​🍎 To our departing staff: To the teachers and staff members who will not be joining us next year, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your dedication, your passion, and the lasting impact you've made on our students. MES will miss you, and we wish you the absolute best on your next journey!

​🎓 To our wonderful 5th Graders: You graduated today! We are so incredibly proud of the leaders you have become at MES. As you get ready to begin your next big adventure at SCW Middle this August, remember to always dream big and work hard. Once a C**t, always a C**t!

✨Still Glowing from Teacher Appreciation Week! 🌟

​We’re still smiling thinking about last week!

The MES PTO had the best time sponsoring the "Shine Bright" Sweet Treats Bar for our phenomenal staff. Seeing the lounge filled with treats and happy faces was the highlight of our week.

A huge thank you again to all the teachers and staff who make Middlesex Elementary such a bright place to learn. We hope you enjoyed the sugar rush as much as we enjoyed putting it together!

Our Spring Book Fair is next week, and we still have a few volunteer spots to fill! If you have an hour or two to spare, we would love your help making this event a great experience for our students.

⚠️Hey MES families! As excitement builds for our sold-out Paint Night, we want to issue a quick reminder to help protect our community from online scams.

​Please 🚫DO NOT make purchases or provide payment information to any third party or individual claiming to have extra spots.

​Please note: There are NO physical or digital "tickets" for this event. Entry is strictly based on our official PTO sign-up list. Anyone trying to sell you a ticket online is not affiliated with us and their "ticket" will not be accepted for entry.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the members of the Middlesex County Moose Lodge #2401 for their generous monetary donation to our PTO. Their support directly impacts our students and helps us continue providing enriching programs, fun events, and meaningful opportunities throughout the year.

​The response to our Paint Night event has been absolutely incredible! Because so many of you wanted to join in, we’ve managed to open up 20 additional slots!

​We will be accepting forms starting tomorrow, and it is strictly first-come, first-served until these final spots are filled.

If you missed out earlier, now is your chance!

We are looking for volunteers to assist students as they shop and to help run the registers. Whether you can spare an hour or a whole morning, we would love your help!

🛍️ Donation Request:
We are also in need of plastic bags for the event so that students can carry their new books home easily. You may send these to school with your child or drop them off at the front office, Attention: MES Library.

A huge thank you goes out to Jamie Cornette - State Farm Insurance Agent in Urbanna for recently presenting the MES PTO with a generous donation! This contribution helps offset the cost of supplies needed for our fundraising activities throughout the school year. As prices – like candy and other fundraising items – continue to rise, we remain committed to keeping our fundraisers affordable for all families. Monetary donations like this make that possible!
