Getting creative with a Herbst, Pink AT device and increasing the vertical in the office by adding posterior pads.
Sending the device back to the lab is the best option but sometimes you need to make a few chair side changes.
And, using predictable tools like the Pharyngometer, CBCT imaging, and the Airway Metrics kit are essential in determining the best vertical positioning.

I just had to share. 💙💙💙😊

One of my dental friends had a patient that developed a severe bite change from wearing a dental sleep device. The patient became very self conscious about her bite, started talking with a lisp and had trouble eating some foods.

Unfortunately, this can be a side effect that can sometimes happen in the efforts to open and support the airway during sleep, which is why I invented the MandiTrac Jaw exercising device back in 2019.

Doctor was asking me how I could help her and her patient. I immediately recommended the MandiTrac device and walked her through using the device the correct way.

I wanted to share this for 2 main reasons.
1) To show you how Amazing the MandiTrac, and
2) To let you know, it’s ok to follow your dreams but it is not ok to give up when things get hard or you face complications. You never know how your dreams can change some one else’s life.
