Do I need a mouth guard when playing sports?

YES! If you’re in orthodontic treatment, a braces-friendly mouthguard is a must. It provides space for your teeth and braces to move while helping protect your lips and cheeks from cuts and irritation.

You might also ask, “Can I just wear my retainer?”

Retainers are designed to hold your teeth in position, not absorb the impact of a ball, elbow, fall, or collision. They are better than nothing. But we definitely recommend a proper shock absorbent mouth guard!

We had a blast at the Canyon Vista Croc-a-palooza 🐊 this past weekend! We love seeing our patients at out in the wild, and getting to meet new members of our local community.
