That instrument isn’t just dull—it’s working against you! 🦷

A sharp instrument is essential for efficient, comfortable, and effective treatment. As an instrument becomes dull, it takes more pressure and more strokes to accomplish the same job, which can contribute to clinician hand and wrist fatigue while making calculus removal more difficult.

Regular sharpening helps:

✨ Maintain an effective cutting edge
✨ Improve calculus removal efficiency
✨ Reduce pressure and unnecessary strokes
✨ Increase patient comfort
✨ Decrease hand, wrist, and body fatigue
✨ Help extend the useful life of your instruments
✨ Preserve the proper blade design and working end

Don’t wait until your instruments feel dull. Regular sharpening is part of proper instrument maintenance and helps keep your instruments—and your clinical care—at their best.
