I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Kevin Bell, my son-in-law, will be joining Dr. Nathan Chesney, his brother-in-law, and myself at Chesney Dentistry. Kevin is married to my oldest daughter Mary Ellen. They and their five children will be moving home to Knoxville and he will begin seeing patients August 1.
Dr. Bell will primarily be working at our new location in the Cedar Bluff area. (This will be our 3rd location in Knoxville.) He is retiring from the US Marine Corps after 20 years of service, including three deployments. The last four years he has been practicing dentistry and gaining experience focusing on the areas of oral surgery and endodontics.
We extend a warm Tennessee welcome to the Bell family.

Congratulations to Dr. Chesney on his competition at the Senior Olympics in Nashville. He raced in 6 events and brought home 6 gold medals! Along with setting 5 meet records. Way to go, Dr. Chesney! You rock!

We recognize that you may have concerns in these times of uncertainty, and we want to take this opportunity to communicate how Chesney Dentistry is caring for our patients, team members and family. At Chesney Dentistry, one of our highest priorities has always been to follow strict “Universal Precautions” practices, which is an all-encompassing approach to infection control and protection. We have always strived to make our facilities as clean and safe as possible using the most up-to-date cleaning practices and materials. This includes always disinfecting each operatory between patients.

Now, with the current health environment concerns, we have increased our diligence and are taking additional proactive measures including temporarily removing all magazines, removing the beverage bar and toys. As an added safeguard, we will disinfect the reception and front desk area at least 3 times per day. Our goal is to have the Chesney Dentistry facilities as aseptic as possible and aid in preventing the potential for any contamination while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients and our team.

Obviously if you are running a fever, have flu-like symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently - we ask that you reschedule your dental appointment until those issues are resolved. We will continue to closely monitor and follow the CDC and ADA recommendations as we serve our dental patients, and we are praying for a swift, effective, global resolution. We also encourage you to embrace any additional time this environment creates in your schedule to spend with those you love.
