It’s the 10 year anniversary since a white coat has been placed on my shoulders… Being able to change my patients’ lives daily through dentistry is the greatest gift in my life that I have never taken for granted.
When the days are challenging, I often mentally take myself back to this moment. The anxious excitement 23 year old Rita felt, as she had no idea what the future held. If only she knew…
This dentist would one day help arrange international clinics that donated hundreds of thousands of dental care to patients who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it or have access to it.
This dentist would one day sponsor the surgery and smile of a Missouri man who was on death row 17 years before he was exonerated for a crime he didn’t commit.
This dentist would one day rebuild a woman’s confidence after surviving a domestic violence incident by gifting her a complete smile makeover.
Among these highlights, what’s equally important are the conversations, laughs, stories, tears, and hugs shared daily with my patients that I have the honor of serving. Dentistry IS hard on the body and mind, but it is the biggest blessing that this was MY calling. I hope I’m making younger me proud, because without her perseverance and spirit, I wouldn’t be where I am today. 🤍

Without the love and support of my family, I also would not be where I am today. 🤍

Miss Sierra Nevada 2016 - the first title I held as a student dentist. 👑✨ Without pageants, I truly believe wouldn’t be where I am today.

Oh, the joy I felt this day. This was the conclusion of the preclinical portion of my education. The start of what I was destined to do; the day I could start treating patients!

My first photoshoot in the white coat. This is still my contact photo on my iPhone. The sentimental version of myself can’t bear to change it. 🥲

Miss California International 2019 - the second title I held as a 3rd year student dentist. 👑✨

My white coat/career also brought me the love of my life. He happens to sport the same look. 😉🤍

What a gift to be able to sit down at the end of every day and talk about our days in a way that the other one completely understands. We are so grateful to serve different

From subtle to stunning.
We laid the foundation with 2 veneers in 2023. Fast forward to 2026, and we finished the vision by adding 6 more no-prep veneers and a gum lift for a fuller, more balanced smile. This is proof that great smiles can be built, and don’t always need to be rushed. ✨

Yeah, I said it. Invisalign aligners can get NASTY. 😷 here’s what I did to avoid that:
1) Soak your aligners for 15 minutes daily with a cleansing tablet. Don’t just rinse with water. Bonus points if you use an ultrasonic cleanser!
2) Brush your teeth gently with whitening toothpaste to maintain your attachments. Whitening toothpaste has enamel safe polishers in it to prevent stains from accumulating.
3) See your dentist every 3-4 months for a cleaning instead of 6. Tartar accumulates different when in aligners, so help keep everything clean bump up your cleaning recalls.

I’m a cosmetic dentist and I just finished my own Invisalign treatment… and even I got lazy and slipped on my wear time a couple times. 😅

Here’s what I tell patients so they don’t spend more months in aligners than necessary:
1) wear your aligners for 20-22h a day; don’t take them out except to eat or drink anything besides water.
2) if you happen to find yourself wearing them less than the recommended time, I would extend your aligner wear by one extra day. A few extra days now can potentially save you weeks or even months of refinements later!

Happy birthday to Dr. Anna, aka this powerhouse of a woman! We’ve shared countless hugs, laughs, and memories… but I think what stands out the most is your ability to change lives, including mine. Cheers to you, and the beautiful journey that’s ahead! I can hardly wait to witness what’s next, and celebrate you along the way. Love you! 🤍✨

Composite bonding can look beautiful… but it doesn’t always last. This patient came to us just one year after having her upper 10 teeth bonded elsewhere, frustrated that the composite veneers had already started to discolor and yellow.

We removed the compromised bonding entirely and restored her smile with 12 no-prep porcelain veneers. A conservative, long-lasting solution built for both beauty and durability.

Porcelain doesn’t stain like composite does. It holds its color, its shine, and its shape for years to come.

If your bonding isn’t aging the way you hoped, let’s talk about options built to last. Link in bio to book your consultation. ✨

Happy Mother’s Day to this absolute ICON I get to call my momma 🤍
Just like the song says: “When God made you my mother, He knew who I’d need.” You make my life full and rich in every way. I love you so much!
