Did you know that tooth wear can happen gradually over decades without you realizing it?

In this case, years of nighttime grinding combined with acid erosion from gastric reflux caused significant wear to the patient's teeth. Once the protective outer layer of the tooth is lost, the softer inner structure becomes exposed, causing the teeth to wear down even faster.

The good news? Even severe wear can often be restored with modern dentistry. In this patient's case, a combination of porcelain crowns and veneers was used to rebuild function, protect the remaining tooth structure, and restore their smile.
