Sandra Stassen our beloved Ceramist here at GRDP is not only an artist of teeth, she is competing in the Grand Rapids ArtPrize competition with an original sculpture of one of her favorite designers. Since Sandy was a young child she always loved to create. From crayons, to creating jewelry, to creating porcelain crowns and veneers. Sandy is always dreaming of her next project. After graduating from Ferris State University in 1976 as a Dental Laboratory Technologist, Sandy went on to owning and operating North Kent Dental Arts Laboratory for forty three years. During the winter months Sandy and her husband Phillip reside in North Port, Florida where her art career has soared to new heights. She has won many awards but is very excited to finally be competing at home in Grand Rapids.
