62 year old female patient presented with multiple failing teeth in her upper jaw and lower jaw. She first underwent extraction and bone grafting of the extraction sites. Then 4 months later had six implants placed in the lower jaw and two in the upper jaw. Ten four months later had her final crowns seated. We are waiting two additional months until she gets her crowns on the upper jaw.

52 year old male patient underwent placement of eleven dental implants and bilateral sinus augmentation under general anesthesia in our office. He lacked the full vertical height, so he required sinus lifts (aka sinus augmentation) at the time of implant placement. Procedure took under 3.5 hours. Now we will wait 6 months for the areas to heal before the crowns are placed. How many parts to a dental implant? There are typically 3 parts. The base(dental implant), the post(aka the abutment) and the crown. One out of four people are missing all their teeth. Seven out of 10 people have one or more missing permanent teeth. Both of our Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are dual degree(meaning they completed both dental school and medical school). 17 year old female presented with four impacted teeth that were causing pressure and pain. She underwent removal of all four wisdom teeth under anesthesia. Overall, the patient did well and the procedure took about one hour. 9 out of 10 people have at least one impacted wisdom tooth.
