OFFICE CLOSED TOMORROW! I’ve called in 15k prescriptions already. Reminder: now I can’t call in pain pills from my couch. I’ve got four exams happening in my driveway right now-very icy, zero parking.
People it’s slick out there! Like an extraction without numbing slick. Stay home! I’m trying my best. So is gravity. So is this ice. Dentist frozen solid. Missing tooth #4. See you when the Chevy thaws

As we move into the Christmas season and the New Year, our office will be closed until January 5: so our team can spend this special time with the people they love most.
To our wonderful patients and friends-thank you for trusting us and being part of our lives throughout the year. We wish you a Merry Christmas filled with family, laughter, good food and moments that truly matter. Every soul needs time to rest, renew and rejoice in all that is good.
To our incredible employees— we appreciate you more than words can say. Your dedication and care means so much to us, and we hope you use this time to be fully present with your families. Take the trip! Make the memories. Whatever you’re doing make it meaningful and make it special.

Delta Dental had $9.9 billion in revenue in 2024. That's more than Spotify, Snapchat, and Twitter. It was more than Netflix couple of years ago. The CEO of Delta Dental of California has an annual salaray of $15 million. Other states are close to $4-$5 million. As a "non-profit", they have some special tax benefits.

In 2008, without notice Delta Dental cut reimbursement rates of 30% and they have not had a meaningful raise their reimbursement rates since. That's like taking a 30% pay-cut in 2008 and never getting a raise for almost 20 years now.

Most dental insurances set a yearly maximum of $1500. Did you know that fee was set in the 1950's as that was the cost to pull all your teeth and get dentures. Since 1950, there has been no meaningful increase in reimbursement from dental insurance companies- with inflation that the reimbursement number should be around $19,904.50 in today's dollars....

So when your dentist drops delta dental and refuses to play these games anymore you can understand why. The more you know....
