🏈 SCOUTING REPORT: Samia Family Dentistry of Garner
Some teams put up impressive numbers on the scoreboard. Others make their biggest impact off the field.
Samia Family Dentistry of Garner just gave us a pretty good example of both.
$6,000 in free dental care provided to local veterans.
That's approximately what their team donated during their very first Veterans Free Dental Day. And while it's an impressive number, what we really love is the reason behind it: giving back to the community that supports them.
Now, here's something else that deserves a spot in the scouting report.
While Dr. Samia took over the practice in 2023, this dental office has actually been caring for Garner families for more than 25 years!
And it's independently owned. Not a branch of some giant corporate dental chain.
That means the decisions about patient care, technology and how the practice operates are made right here by the people doing the work.
And they've been investing heavily in that work.
We're talking 3D imaging, same-day crowns, dental implants, restorative dentistry and advanced procedures that many people might assume require a trip to another office.
Dr. Samia has also invested hundreds of hours in advanced training, particularly in implants and restorative care, so the team can offer more comprehensive services under one roof.
But ask what patients appreciate most and it's not necessarily the fancy equipment.
It's that somebody actually listens.
They take the time to explain options, answer questions and make sure people don't feel rushed or pressured into treatment.
And when asked what he's most proud of, Dr. Samia didn't point to a particular procedure or piece of technology.
He pointed to his team, the relationships they've built and the trust Garner families have placed in them.
That's a pretty solid foundation for a practice carrying forward more than two decades of community history.
