🦷 Pulpitis vs Pulpal Necrosis:
What's happening inside your tooth?

A tooth can hurt for different reasons-and sometimes a tooth that doesn't hurt at all can still need a root canal treatment.

🔥Pulpitis: The nerve inside the tooth is inflamed but still alive. You may notice sensitivity to cold, lingering pain, or spontaneous toothache.

⚠Pulpal Necrosis: The nerve has died. Sometimes there is little or no pain, but infection can develop around the root.

🔍That's why a thorough exam and testing are important. Your endodontist uses your symptoms, clinical tests, and X-rays to determine what's really happening inside the tooth.

Painful or not, early evaluation can help save your natural tooth.
