This patient presented after previous orthodontic treatment, with implants in positions #๐ณ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ #๐ญ๐ฌ, recession around crowned lateral teeth, thin peri-implant tissues showing underlying darkness, and tooth axes that appeared excessively spread out.
One of the most important findings in this case was not only visible clinically, but also radiographically: the ๐๐๐๐ง ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ปโo๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐โb๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐๐.
That combination of thin hard tissue support and thin soft tissue creates a major esthetic challenge, especially in the anterior maxilla.
Our approach was centered on ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐:
increase soft tissue thickness through grafting, then redesign and replace the crowns to improve tissue support, mask discoloration, and create a more harmonious emergence profile and tooth axis.
