DENTAL PRO TIP 👨⚕️if you ever worry that you're being sold to, this may help. I like explaining cavities in terms of severity to patients.
On a scale of 1 to 10, the tooth 2nd from the right would be a 2 or 3 which is easy to fix and may not even need to be numbed!
The very right tooth might be more like a 6, which means the bacteria has eaten through the enamel and will require a larger filling, being numb and possible sensitivity after treatment.
Once you start getting to 8 or 9, the bacteria has entered nerve area and the tooth is expected to hurt constantly. At that point a root canal may be necessary.
Just like your car, get regular check ups! Twice a year and you should be able to avoid the always fun root canals 😂
When was YOUR last check up? 😁
