AIDS Walk Ohio Join us in-person or virtually on April 18, 2026! AIDS Walk Ohio will take place in downtown Columbus on April 18, 2026.

Participate in person at Genoa Park or virtually in your own neighborhood. AIDS Walk Ohio is one of the largest opportunities for the public to give back in this capacity. Over 1,000 people from across the state will come together to raise critical funds for HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs. In just the past eight years, AIDS Walk Ohio has raised over $2 million for AIDS service organiza

tions in Ohio, including Equitas Health, who produces the event and is the primary beneficiary. At Equitas Health, funds raised support HIV/AIDS medical care and treatment, HIV prevention (which includes PrEP), and a variety of other services like primary care, behavioral health counseling, and dental care—one of the most unmet needs of those living with HIV.

Equitas Health Pharmacists recently published research about long-acting PrEP shots and the critical role of pharmacists in HIV care. 🎉👇Check it out!

The 2026 July-August volume of the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association will feature a HIV prevention research project written by Equitas Health's fantastic Pharmacy team!

During Staff Pharmacist Shreya Barde's (She/Her) residency, she completed a research project tilted, "Evaluating the role of pharmacists in provider care with long-acting injectables for HIV and PrEP."

This research highlights the crucial role that pharmacists play in managing HIV prevention – especially at Equitas Health!

The project was supported and coauthored by Equitas Health LAI-ART Program Manager Alvin Choy, PharmD, RPh, AAHIVP (He/Him), Director of Clinical Pharmacy Jackie Kissel, PharmD, RPh (She/Her), Clinical Staff Pharmacist Teagan Vaughn, RPh, PharmD, AAHIV (She/Her), and the Ohio State University.
