✨ Inside the Operatory Wednesday | Part 2 of 3 ✨

Last week, we started our 3-part journey through the lab by showing what happens after the healing teeth come off the 3D printer. We removed them from the tray, smoothed out any imperfections, and tested the screws to make sure everything fit properly. 🦷✨

Now, it’s time to add some color!

In Part 2, we’re moving on to staining and shade matching. 🎨 The upper and lower prostheses are carefully stained to match the shade selected by the patient. Each coat is applied with attention to the small details, building up the color and character to create a natural-looking result.

Between each coat, the prostheses are placed inside an UV curing unit to quickly dry the stain before the next layer is applied. It’s a process that takes patience and precision, with each layer bringing us one step closer to the finished result. 🔍🦷

Next week, we’ll finish things up with the final checks, packing, and getting everything ready for the day the patient arrives! 👀✨

✨ Inside the Operatory Wednesday | Part 1 of 3 ✨

Last time for Inside the Operatory Wednesday, we highlighted our 3D printer and showed how the digital design is transferred to the printer, where the healing teeth are created. 🦷🖨️

Now, we’re taking you a little further behind the scenes!

For the next 3 Wednesdays, we’re hanging out in the lab to show the process from start to finish and show you everything that goes into getting these healing teeth ready for the patient. 👀🦷

First up, we’re starting with what happens after they come off the 3D printer. The upper and lower prostheses are carefully removed from the printing tray and inspected before the finishing process begins. They’re then sanded and smoothed to remove any small imperfections or rough areas left behind from printing. The screws are also tested to make sure they fit properly before moving forward. All of these steps help ensure the prostheses are properly finished and ready for the next stage of the process. ✨

And this is just the beginning! Next week, we’ll take you through staining and shade matching, where we start adding the details that bring these healing teeth to life. 🎨🦷

Dr. Jenan Hadidi, DMD, earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University. She also holds a Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) and a Master of Science in Precision Medicine (MS), giving her a strong foundation in both comprehensive dental care and the science behind individualized treatment.

Dr. Hadidi is passionate about providing patients with personalized, high-quality dental care and helping them achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. Her advanced education and dedication to dentistry allow her to approach each patient’s needs with thoughtful, individualized care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hadidi enjoys snowboarding, baking, and traveling. She looks forward to getting to know her patients and becoming a part of their dental care journey. 🦷✨

This week, we're moving back into the lab! 🖨️✨ We’re highlighting our 3D printer, which allows us to turn digital designs into precise, 3D-printed models right here in our office. 💻🦷

Using digital scans and specialized software, our team can create detailed designs before sending them to the printer, where each model is built layer by layer. 🔬✨

It’s just one of the many tools we use behind the scenes to make treatment more efficient and precise while providing our patients with the highest standard of care. 💙🦷
