As the expert recommendations and regulatory mandates evolve, we continue to be available for emergency dental care as outlined by the American Dental Association advisory.
The purpose of dental care at this time as advised by the ADA is to relieve severe pain and/or risk of infection and to alleviate the burden on hospital emergency departments. As periodontists, we feel that we are able to help in this area too!
We are very fortunate to have dedicated team members also interested in helping even after considering the known risks to help in this crisis!
The reasons for referral to us of a friend, neighbor, or family member should follow the the ADA's guidelines for what constitutes a dental emergency.
Some examples:
- Severe dental pain
- Abscess, or localized bacterial infection resulting in localized pain and swelling
- Tooth fracture resulting in pain or causing soft tissue trauma
- Dental treatment required prior to critical medical procedures
Please call our office at 919-967-5099 if you are experiencing a dental emergency!
