Please join us in congratulating our Dental Assistant, Jeffrey! He just earned his Radiology License from Boston University, an exciting milestone on his path to becoming a dentist.
Jeffrey is a steady, dependable part of our team, always curious and always learning. He’s also a full-time Biochemistry student at UMass Amherst with a 4.0 GPA.
As a small business, we believe in mentorship, hands-on experience, opportunity and creating a space where young talent can pursue their passion and turn it into purpose. At the beginning of this year, Jeffrey wrote to our dental office, he said he wanted to become a dentist someday.
He came in with no prior knowledge, and through shadowing and his own motivation, he is now setting up and breaking down treatment rooms, suctioning, observing Dr. M and learning his preferences, anticipating patient needs, bagging instruments and loading the autoclave, all while following OSHA steri-protocols. And now he is even taking radiographs!
He is studying for dental school exams and is NOT the first dental assistant in this office laying the path to dental school. A tall order!
Outside of the office, Jeffrey loves every racquet sport you can name… tennis, badminton, pickleball, and ping pong. All the sports that could knock a tooth out, but fortunately, we have Jeffrey for that. And on top of all his talents, he also speaks fluent Mandarin!
Watching our team members grow is one of the most meaningful rewarding parts of what we do. We strive to create an environment where our team members can build exceptional skills and meaningful careers- not just jobs. That is the Belchertown Dental way.
