Child teeth have only erupted, and already have caries! Why so? 🍼

The so-called “bottle” caries is a problem that parents of many children encounter at a very young age: sometimes literally after the appearance of the first few teeth, sometimes a bit later. Outwardly, it appears as yellowish or brown spots on enamel. And you need to deal with it immediately.

The main causes of "bottle" caries:
🔹 frequent night feedings;
🔹 feeding with sweet milk mixtures, mother’s sweet milk, sweet drinks instead of night feeding;
🔹 Maternal toxicosis and / or supportive drug therapy during pregnancy;
🔹 Bad hygiene - baby still doesn’t brush his teeth, and mother does not know about the necessity or does not consider it necessary to brush her baby’s teeth when there are only a couple of them in his/her mouth. Anyway, they are temporary!
It turns out that there is no hygiene.
🔹 general somatic diseases of the child.

Also, some pathogenic bacteria can be transmitted to children from their parents. Therefore, we request: do not share your microflora with the baby. In other words: do not lick baby spoons, cups and soothers. And not only because of the likelihood of caries;)

We summarize:
we cannot influence a number of causes of “bottle” caries.
But in some cases, it is in our power to influence the appearance of “bottle” caries.
These include raising the level of awareness of mothers in matters of oral hygiene of the child and proper hygiene itself, regular meetings with the dentist and monitoring what and how much our children eat (we cancel the sweet mixes for feeding and compotes at night).
