Segment 2: SIN ➔ JNB | Business Class (A350 Long-Haul)

The Transit: Super tight 15-minute transit due to a late arrival from BKK. Had to sprint straight to the gate, so unfortunately no time to experience the SilverKris Lounge this time.

Cabin & Comfort: The long-haul A350 features SQ’s signature wide seats with excellent privacy. The fully flat bed made sleeping through the 10-hour flight effortless.
Dining & Service: Top-tier SQ service from boarding to touchdown. Highly recommend utilizing “Book the Cook” pre-flight to customize your meals.

The Verdict: A frantic transit at Changi, but the exceptional onboard comfort completely made up for it. Landed in Johannesburg feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Segment 1: BKK ➔ SIN | Business Class (A350 Regional)

Ground Experience:
Departing from BKK on Singapore Airlines includes complimentary fast-track security and passport control, which makes navigating the airport completely effortless.

The Lounge Strategy:
Premium tickets grant access to three distinct Star Alliance lounges in the terminal: Thai Airways (TG), Singapore Airlines (SQ), and EVA Air (BR).

The Verdict:
I only had time to visit two during this transit—the TG and SQ lounges. If your boarding schedule permits, it is well worth arriving early to experience all three, as each offers a unique atmosphere and menu selection before you board the short-haul A350 flight to Singapore.
