A case of mucocele on lower lip of a 15 years old male.A brief description given only.Hope you guys find it interesting🙂

1)History: Insignificant other than having habit of chronic lip biting and reccurent swelling.
2)Clinical examination: painless non tender (domed shaped) swelling on lower lip.Mobile in nature and having normal mucosal appearance.(bluish tinge can also appear)
3)Investigations: Needle Aspiration,Ultrasound, excisional biopsy (definitive)but it's pathognomonic for clinical diagnosis normally.
4)Differentials:mucocele,fibroma,lymphangioma,hemangioma,schwannoma,lipoma.
5)Diagnosis: mucocele(clinically)
6)Management: proper counseling about the habit and it's consequences followed by excision of mucocele along with minor salivary glands.
