A Smile transformation story
A bride-to-be came into my clinic with an urgent plea: she was hoping I could transform her teeth for her upcoming wedding. Her prenup photoshoot was only eight days away, and she was working with a very limited budget. Given the tight timeline, I was initially hesitant. I took an impression of her upper arch to study her case and asked her to get a panoramic X-ray first, as her two upper canines were missing.
When the X-ray results came back a few hours later, my mind went completely blank—both of her canines were impacted. 🥹 With only one week and tight finances, I honestly wondered what I could do.
I gently asked if she wanted a referral to a specialist I know, but she smiled and said she already knew exactly who I was referring to, and the cost was simply too far out of reach for them. 😅
At that moment, I knew I didn't have any other choice but to help this lady. I proposed a temporary treatment plan and asked her to talk it over with her family and return the next morning if they agreed. 🥹
I prayed so hard that the procedure would be a success and that she would have a truly happy smile on her wedding day.
After the procedure was done, her reaction said it all—she was so incredibly happy with the result. Her smile is so much brighter and better than before. It might not be absolutely perfect, and I may not be the famous cosmetic dentist she mentioned, 🥹 but knowing she is happy that I accepted her case means the world to me.
Thank God for guiding my hands and giving me a heart that always wants to help people in need.
