Buenazeda Dental Clinic "Your family dentist in Greenhills" "Your family dentist in Greenhills"

Our family practice in Greenhills started in 1980.

Currently we have five dentists with their appropriate specializations to cover almost all aspects of dentistry. Our very homey clinic has a "by appointment" basis to control the flow of patients and ensure minimum waiting time and more than adequate time for our procedures. We personally discuss the case fully before doing anything and discuss what to expect after the procedure before dismissing

our patients. We treat our patients with utmost respect and courtesy. We refer to our own specialists when we have to and refer to other specialists when we cannot handle a specific case. We adhere to strict sterilisation and sanitation procedures using autoclave and chemical sterilisation. We accept emergency cases any time of the day as long as you call us first and let us know your condition. This is because all five of us live very nearby the clinic. We also accept night time schedule if the appointment is set at least 2 days prior. We are typical filipinos proud of our hospitality and culture; Christians who believe God and follow Christ. Most of our patients end up becoming our friends and close contacts. Our practice has grown because of the trust our patients have in us. Give us a call and we'll be glad to see and help you with your dental needs.

Worried That Dental Implants Might Be Painful or Risky? Here’s the Truth.
Dental implants are one of the most reliable and transformative solutions for replacing missing teeth—but many patients hesitate due to fear of pain or complications. Let’s clear the air with facts and reassurance.

🦷 What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are small titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone to serve as artificial roots for replacement teeth. They provide a strong, stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures, restoring both function and aesthetics.

💉 Is the Procedure Painful?
Not during the surgery. The implant procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you won’t feel pain while it’s happening. Most patients report that the experience is less uncomfortable than a tooth extraction.
After the procedure, it’s normal to feel mild soreness or swelling for a few days. This is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relievers or medications prescribed by your dentist.

🛡️ Is It Risky?
Like any surgical procedure, dental implants carry some risks—but they are minimal and rare when performed by a qualified dental professional. Potential complications like infection, nerve damage, or implant failure occur in a very small percentage of cases and are often preventable with proper planning and care.
In fact, dental implants have a success rate of over 95%, making them one of the most predictable and safe procedures in modern dentistry.

❤️ Why Patients Love Their Implants
• Natural look and feel—they blend seamlessly with your smile
• No slipping or clicking like dentures
• Preserve jawbone health and facial structure
• Eat, speak, and smile with confidence

If you’ve been putting off dental implants due to fear, know that you’re not alone—and that your concerns are valid. But with today’s technology, expert care, and personalized planning, the process is gentle, safe, and life-changing.

Taking Control of Your Smile: Understanding Dental Caries (Cavity) Prevention
Did you know that while some factors in cavity formation are beyond your control, many crucial ones are completely within your power? Let's break down the factors you can influence and those you can't to help you keep your smile healthy!

✅ Factors You CAN Control (The Power is Yours!)
These are your daily habits that make the biggest difference:
* Oral Hygiene Routine: Brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and flossing once daily is your primary defense.
* Dietary Choices: Limiting sugary and starchy snacks and drinks, especially between meals. Rinse with water after consuming them!
* Regular Dental Visits: Seeing your dentist for check-ups and cleanings every 6 months allows for early detection and professional fluoride/sealant treatments.
* Fluoride Use: Using fluoridated water, toothpaste, and mouth rinses strengthens your enamel.

❌ Factors You CAN'T Control (But Should Manage!)
While you can't change these, understanding them helps your dentist tailor your care:
* Genetics: Some people are naturally predisposed to having softer enamel or a higher number of cavity-causing bacteria.
* Saliva Composition/Flow: The quantity and quality of your saliva (which neutralizes acid) can be affected by certain medications or medical conditions.
* Tooth Morphology: The natural shape and deep grooves/fissures of your teeth can make them more prone to trapping plaque.
* Existing Medical Conditions: Conditions like diabetes or disorders causing dry mouth can increase your risk.
💡 The Takeaway: Don't let the uncontrollable factors discourage you! By mastering the factors you can control, you significantly reduce your risk and give your smile the best defense possible.

Yesterday I made two girls cry... (not because of pain, okay?)

In the morning, a young woman walked into the clinic, hopeful that her aching tooth could be saved with a root canal. She’d been referred by a friend who assured her we’d do everything we could. And we did. But after examining the tooth, it was clear: it was beyond saving. The decay had gone too deep, and extraction was the only option left.
Fast forward to the afternoon, and another first-timer arrived—a 19-year-old with a sensitive tooth, thinking she just needed a quick filling. But the cavity had already tunneled its way into the nerve. What she thought would be a 30-minute fix turned into a full root canal treatment.
Both patients were young, bright, and referred by people who trust us. And both cases had one thing in common: they could’ve been prevented with regular dental check-ups.
We get it—life gets busy, teeth seem fine, and who wants to sit in a dental chair if nothing hurts? But here’s the thing: by the time it does hurt, the tooth might already be waving a white flag.
So here’s our gentle nudge (with a smile, not a drill):
Don’t wait for pain to be your reminder. Let prevention be your habit.
Your teeth deserve VIP treatment before they become emergency cases. And trust us, your future self will thank you—with a full smile.

Last week, I had one of those cases that reminds you why modern tech in dentistry isn’t just cool—it’s crucial.

A patient came in with a deeply impacted third molar. Not your usual “let’s pop it out” kind of case. This one was tucked in tight, roots curling near the mandibular canal, and the crown angled like it was trying to escape sideways. The kind of tooth that makes you pause and say, “Let’s not guess.”

So we did a CBCT.

And wow—what a difference. The scan gave us a full 3D view: the exact position of the tooth, the root shape, how close it was to the nerve, and even the thickness of surrounding bone. It was like switching from a blurry photo to a high-def movie.

Armed with that info, I planned the odontectomy with precision. Smaller flap, minimal bone removal, and a clear path to section the tooth safely. No surprises mid-surgery. No nerve drama. The whole procedure was smoother, faster, and the patient walked out with less swelling and a smile.

It reminded me: CBCT isn’t just about fancy imaging—it’s about safer, smarter care. It helps us see what we need to see before we even touch a scalpel. And for tricky cases like this, it’s a game-changer.

If you’re still relying on 2D X-rays for complex extractions, it might be time to level up. Your patients—and your nerves—will thank you.
