TheSmileShopPH has been talking about the benefits of Oil Pulling for over 20 years and we still recommend it because our personal experience has shown us firsthand how effectively it reduces bacteria and keeps our gums healthy naturally, without harsh chemicals.
Here's how to do the oil pulling:
What you need:
1 Tablespoon of a organic oil (Coconut, sesame, or sunflower oil are the most common and recommended types).
5 to 20 minutes of time, ideally first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything.
Swish Gently: Move the oil around your entire mouth. Swish the oil through and around your teeth, gums, and tongue. Do not swallow the oil.
If you are new to this, start with 3 minutes and work your way up gradually.
Many people do this while showering, preparing breakfast, or getting ready for the day to make the time pass quickly.
Important Note: Oil pulling should be used as a complement to your regular dental care, brushing twice a day, daily flossing, and regular dental checkups, not as a substitute for professional oral hygiene practices.
