Braces can transform a smile, but poor oral hygiene can leave permanent marks behind.

Brackets and wires create additional surfaces where plaque can accumulate and become difficult to remove. When oral hygiene is inadequate, bacteria in plaque produce acids that pull minerals out of the enamel. The result is often the chalky white areas seen in this image, known as white spot lesions.

White spot lesions are early signs of enamel demineralization. They can develop surprisingly quickly during orthodontic treatment and may remain visible long after braces are removed. If the demineralization progresses further, cavities can develop.

Studies have consistently shown that orthodontic patients are at increased risk of plaque accumulation and enamel demineralization, making oral hygiene one of the most important factors influencing treatment outcomes.

Brushing carefully around brackets, cleaning between teeth daily, using fluoride products when recommended, and attending regular dental visits can significantly reduce this risk.

A successful orthodontic treatment is not just about straight teeth.

It's about finishing treatment with healthy enamel too.

๐Ÿฆท Another Successful Odontectomy Case! ๐Ÿ™Œ

This patient underwent the successful surgical removal (odontectomy) of both impacted lower second premolars. The extracted teeth were unable to erupt properly due to their position, making surgery the best treatment option.

โœจ Why is early removal important?
โœ”๏ธ Prevents damage to neighboring teeth
โœ”๏ธ Reduces the risk of cysts and infection
โœ”๏ธ Helps orthodontic treatment progress smoothly
โœ”๏ธ Prevents crowding and unwanted tooth movement
โœ”๏ธ Makes the procedure generally easier, with faster healing and fewer complications

Early diagnosis through dental radiographs allows us to treat impacted teeth before they become a bigger problem.

๐Ÿ“If you or your child is undergoing orthodontic treatment, donโ€™t skip your regular check-ups. Sometimes, impacted teeth are hidden beneath the gums and can only be detected on dental x-rays.

Healthy smiles begin with timely treatment! ๐Ÿฆทโœจ

Note: referred case. Orthodontic treatment by other dentist. Thank you for the trust. ๐Ÿ’•

After all, kung pareho namang โ€œbunot,โ€ โ€œpasta,โ€ o โ€œroot canal,โ€ bakit minsan magkakaiba ang presyo?

The simple answer is:

Just because two patients need the same procedure doesnโ€™t mean the treatment will have the same level of difficulty.

For example, a tooth extraction can be very simple for one patient.

Pero sa ibang pasyente, the tooth might be badly broken, impacted, infected, or positioned in a way that requires more time, more instruments, and a more complex approach.

Pareho silang extraction.

Pero magkaiba ang condition.

Magkaiba rin ang treatment requirements.

Thatโ€™s why dental fees are not based solely on the name of the procedure.

Theyโ€™re also influenced by:

๐Ÿฆท The condition of the tooth and surrounding tissues
๐Ÿฆท The complexity of the case
๐Ÿฆท The materials that will be used
๐Ÿฆท The instruments and equipment required
๐Ÿฆท The time needed to complete the treatment
๐Ÿฆท The clinical expertise needed to achieve a safe and predictable result

Sa dentistry, hindi siya parang restaurant menu na may iisang price para sa lahat. ๐Ÿ‘Ž

Every smile is unique.

Every patient has different needs.

And every treatment plan is customized based on what is actually happening inside the mouth.

Thatโ€™s why a proper consultation is important.

Because before we can determine the most appropriate treatmentโ€”and its corresponding feeโ€”we first need to evaluate your specific dental condition.

At the end of the day, youโ€™re not just paying for the procedure itself.

Youโ€™re also paying for the diagnosis, treatment planning, sterilization protocols, quality materials, professional expertise, and the care needed to achieve the best possible outcome.

โœจ Because in dentistry, one fixed price simply cannot fit every patient.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our patients smile with confidence! โœจ
