🦷 A small lump on the gums may seem harmless—but it shouldn't be ignored.
This patient came to us with a reddish lump on the upper gums and had become uncomfortable during eating and brushing. Upon thorough history and clinical examination, an initial diagnosis of Pyogenic Granuloma was made. The lesion was managed through surgical excision, and a temporary Maryland bridge was placed to restore the missing front tooth while the area heals.
A pyogenic granuloma is a benign (non-cancerous) overgrowth of gum tissue that is often caused by chronic irritation, plaque buildup, trauma, or hormonal changes. While it isn't cancerous, it can continue to enlarge, bleed easily, and affect your comfort, oral hygiene, and confidence.
