Simplicity in chaos.
I truly believe in orthodontics the more effort that is made into the follow-ups (wire bendings, applications ect) the more rewarding it would be in the result.
Sadly there is no short cut.
However, it takes time to prepare.
And passion.
This is a Class III skeletal patient with severe reverse overjet rejected by many as it is advised to pursue surgery for correction of bite.
Basically the top front teeth is sitting behind lower.
Cant wait to share before and after later.

We are open during the lockdown.
As we operate under healthcare, essential services are allowed to run.
Last year during the first lockdown, we had to close due to short supply of PPE.
Today we are more prepared.
PPE’s are ready, clinic regularly sanitised, SOP’s implemented and everyone has completed both doses of their vaccination ✅.

I often advise parents to not wait for the so-called recommended age for their kids to get braces which is usually 13-14.
Sebenarnya kena tgk tahap kematangan pesakit jugak.
Budak2 skrg ni cepat akil baligh.
Pengalaman sekolah menengah adalah mencabar.
It is when we discover ourselves and try to fit into the society.
Any efforts in reducing the stress is encouraged.

Some smiles are worth waiting for.
Perhatikan senyuman sebelum rawatan braces dimana bibir atas kiri jatuh sikit akibat kurang sokongan dari gigi.
Selepas rawatan, susunan gigi selari dengan garisan bibir dan bukan terlalu rata seperti gigi palsu.
Selepas rawatan juga kedudukan bibir atas dan bawah juga selari.

‘An hour of planning can save you 10 hours of doing.’ - Dale Carnegie
The plan was to move the premolar forward.
The risk was rotation of the tooth from the push (of the spring).
The bigger risk was losing time from going back and forth pushing the tooth and correcting rotation.
Placing additional buttons on the opposite side moved the tooth as planned in just one session 🕺🏼

Treating growing patients is a challenge.
You have to consider future growth after braces is completed and its impact on relapse after treatment.
Finding the right balance is critical.
Pesakit hanya menggunakan retainer yang boleh tanggal (removable retainers) untuk bantu mengekalkan kedudukan sebanyak mungkin selepas rawatan braces.
18 bulan kemudian, kedudukan giginya adalah lebih baik selari dengan perkembangan rahang bawahnya.

Closing the gap appears easy but reality is it is not what it appears to be.
Nak tutup ruang tetapi masih mengekalkan saiz ukur lilit gigi atas adalah cabaran pertama.
Masalah kedua adalah memuatkan gigi atas dan bawah supaya stabil selepas rawatan.
Apa yang pasti adalah dari segi estetik jelas sekali ini adalah rawatan terbaik jika dibandingkan dengan veneer kerana veneer akan menyebabkan gigi tengah rupa terlalu besar 🐰.
