A CDE Programme along with Innovative Learning Day was successfully organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, ABSMIDS on 17 July 2026 at Avishkar Hall, ABSMIDS.
The resource person, Prof (Dr) George Koshy, Principal and Head of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Christian Dental College, CMC, Ludhiana, delivered an informative online lecture on "The Privilege of Being Entrusted – Stewardship in an Age of Opportunity, Technology and Responsibility”.
Also, as part of the Innovative Learning Day, Pictoviz, an innovative academic activity, was conducted for III BDS students by Dr Mangesh Shenoy P.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in association with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Nitte DU celebrated the Jagannath Ratha Yatra 2026. The programme commenced at Surathkal Junction followed by a visit to ISCKON Radha Krishna temple, Kulai.
Dr Kumuda Rao, NSS Program-Officer and Dr Chitharanjan Shetty, IKS Coordinator accompanied the NSS volunteers.
Sri Nama Nishta Das, the General Manager, ISKCON Nanthoor Mangalore guided the team.
The first year undergraduate students from ABSMIDS volunteered in serving refreshments along the Ratha Yatra and participated actively to make the event a memorable one.
